 The Bell Tournament

The tournament is named in honor of the family that was the original Nomads Field Hockey Team founders.  The head coach and current owner Jaime Ginsberg decided on this name as the tournament was so close to the holidays and it makes her think of the song Silver Bells which is very near and dear to her heart.

Over the past two years the tournament has grown from 8 teams to 16. The Tournamen'ts mission is to achieve a great indoor field hockey experience by providing a venue that meets National indoor measurements, indoor officials, competitive games in a supportive and positive environment.  The Venue can hold three legal indoor fields with proper boards and cages as well as certified indoor referees.

The format of the tournament is broken into age groups (U14, U16 and U19) with crossover games for the top 4 teams to determine a 1st , 2nd, 3rd an 4th in each age group.
Held at Smith College's Indoor Track and Tennis (ITT) Facility which offers bathrooms, stands for viewing, concessions and a certified trainer all on site. In addition Smith College/ITT is  conveniently located in downtown Northampton which offers amble food venues, hotels and places to go for other members of the family during the tournament.

Please check back for more details on this year tournament which due to interest has been broken into a two day tournament to accommodate more team in each age group.

We hope you are wrapping up your fall seasons for your school teams and wish you all the best of luck!  The indoor season is fast approaching, so those of you looking to continue playing through the winter, keep in mind that registration is right around the corner.
